Nurses Serving Nurses

Providing Personalized Advising and Student Services

Personalized, nurse-to-nurse advising is a hallmark of the W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing. Our students include both pre-licensure nursing students beginning their careers and experienced RNs working in a variety of healthcare settings throughout the country. Our students receive specialized services from experienced nurses who understand the demands of nursing education and the important role that continuous learning plays in the nursing profession.

Our nursing advisors work closely with students to create personalized academic plans, whether for our accelerated prelicensure BSN program, the RN to BSN degree completion program, or graduate studies in our Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs. Advisors assist students to prepare for online nursing courses, identify credit-by-exam programs that can be used to fulfill general education requirements, and develop program plans tailored to their career goals. All students are encouraged to schedule an advising appointment early in their program.
