Post-9/11 GI Bill® and NJNGTP
The State of New Jersey has received a federal legislative waiver from the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Improvements Act of 2010. This means that in addition to grants and scholarships, Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits must also be used towards tuition before a waiver can be applied.

Does not apply:
- If you have transferred the entirety of your Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits to an eligible dependent.
- If you have exhausted your GI Bill and no longer qualify for VA benefits.
- If you are currently active under or eligible for a different VA chapter.
Applies:
- If you are currently active under or eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) and have NOT transferred the entirety of your benefits to an eligible dependent, and do NOT qualify for a different VA chapter benefit.
